If you want to make a whole week of it, doing a color a day for your teacher with each color having some kind of “theme” is a fun idea. Kristy did this for her daughter’s teacher! For red, the first day, it’s all about the teacher….the things she likes and things to spoil her with for the days she’s not teaching. Items include a Bogg bag, apple candle, Sol de Janeiro kit, and a self-care book.

Tag: “ Roses are RED & Apples are too! You’re the best teacher ever, we’re so thankful for you.”

Orange, day two, is focused on recognizing the growth she’s given the students. She also loves to garden, so this is perfect! Orange items include drinking glasses, a succulent, a personalized planter, a mister, and a seed kit.

Tags: “ ORANGE you just such a SUN-sational teacher!“ and “Thank you for helping us grow!“

Day three is yellow, a bright and shining color, so these items show her that she’s the star to the kids. Yellow gifts include a tote, lip balm, hand sanitizer, paper weights, a t-shirt, an essential oil pen, a pillow for the reading corner, and a coffee mug, of course!

Tags: “Thank you for being the STAR that taught them to SHINE“ and “The influence of a good teacher can never be erased.”

Green, day four, is a day for the classroom! These gifts are things she can use in and around like classroom, like a utility cart, Sharpies, a label maker, a pencil sharpener, a journal, essential oils, and modular seats for the kids.

Tags: “Thank you for your Commit•Mint Involve•mint Encourage•mint Invest•mint” and “Green with envy are those who wish they had you for a teacher!“

Blue, the final day, is for all things lunch!! Items include a lunch carrier, a mini to-go Crockpot, a Bentgo container, a snacks bag, a sand art light that’s great for lunchtime relaxation or meditation, and a Stanley tumbler.

Tags: “Just something out of the blue to say we appreciate you!“ and “We appreciate you a whole bunch, so please enjoy some lunch!“

And if you’d rather do one gift on Teacher Appreciation Day (May 7th), a gift bag stuffed with self-care goodies is always a hit! Grab a tote and fill it with Sharpies, this cute acrylic desk sign, a canvas pouch with keychains, body scrub, body wash, lip balm, a lip mask, face masks, and a facial scrub!

The leaves are falling, the crisp air has arrived, and the season of goodies is upon us. October through December have multiple holiday events – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and more, so that means classroom parties, various events, and the creation of goody bags, baskets, and more! Since my youngest daughter’s birthday is in October, I was invited to read a themed book, bring in a snack, and hang out with the class, and I used the opportunity to create pumpkin-themed buckets for her whole class! See our Halloween goody bag inspiration below.

My daughter turned five and is in Pre-K, so I kept it fun but still simple with a pumpkin theme: pumpkin buckets, themed cups, straws, glow sticks, and most importantly, snacks!

The snacks were fun – I found a lot of pumpkin-themed snacks like Entenmann’s pumpkin flavored muffins, gogo squeeze apple pumpkin spice applesauce pouches and decorative fun Skinny Pop popcorn bags.

I kept it pretty simple with Mott’s tots apple juice boxes, but I also ran across Swiss Miss pumpkin spice hot chocolate and just had to add it in. I read the book 10 Little Pumpkins, and the kids were super excited about their snack which was fresh fruit salad in waffle cone bowls topped with a dab of whipped cream – a healthy sundae!

Kristy is room mom for her daughter’s class this year, so of course she got right on her duties of helping to plan the first classroom party planned for October. She went straight to Target’s Hyde & EEK Bootique for plates, napkins, games and more goodies. She’s planning on serving slime punch in cauldrons and using festive food trays for snacks.

“You’ve been Boo’d” – yep that’s right, Kristy created Boo Bags for her kids’ classrooms! She took small clear gift bags and filled them with a bunch of fun little festive toys and a bunch of yummy goodies.

The options are virtually endless with what you can fill them with. Mini play-dohs, bubbles, the classic spider ring and themed pencils. I’m sure no matter what you come up with, the bags will end up being super spook-tacular! Happy Planning!

Some people love Halloween. Some people just can’t seem to get on board with the ghosts and ghouls and scary shenanigans and crazy costumes. If you want to celebrate the holiday but you don’t want to go all-out with a costume, you can still show your paranormal pride with a Halloween-themed outfit that looks chic and stylish rather than creepy and spine-chilling. It’s that time of year again…the leaves are starting to fall, the scent of pumpkin spice everything and the Spirit Halloween stores start popping up all over, and the Halloween shopping craze begins! 2/4 of my kiddos already had their costumes locked in and were ready to shop, and my other two were very much undecided. My 20% off coupon was expiring so we did some family shopping over the weekend! Check out some of the great kids’ Halloween apparel I found!

Frugal and Thriving may earn small commission from affiliate links in this post. See full disclosure here.

My youngest daughter was already locked in on being her favorite Disney princess Ariel, so she was the easiest purchase of the day. The outfit is adorable, and of course we had to get the signature locks to go with it!

My middle daughter chose this shimmer fox costume, no real rhyme or reason for it, but it is super cute and very minimal make-up application needed from me, so it’s a win-win all around.

I thought for sure my eldest would go for the Wednesday Addams or Barbie look this year, but nope, she went from the Shimmer Fox, to Descendants characters, to Rena Rouge and finally landed on Buttercup from the Power Puff Girls…a show that she’s never even seen an episode of before. Her reasoning was because of the similar hair length…uhm okay…the logic of a seven-year-old, I guess.

I always forget about Target for their kids’ costume selection. These seem to be the most popular of the selections this year, with Disney Villains like Ursula, Maleficent and Cruella over the princesses, along with Harry & Hermione from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and of course Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Michelangela and Leonardo – following the release of their live action movie earlier this year.

How cool are these zip-up and pullover hoodies…the one with the skeleton skull hood is my favorite! The pajama sets are adorable too – I grabbed the dinosaur skeleton set for my son.

Per usual, Target always has more for the girls. I have three girls ranging from ages four to seven and I was able to find an outfit for each of them. This Nightmare Before Christmas dress is super cute for my girlie girl that love tutus. My seven-year-old isn’t so much into the “kiddie” Halloween graphics, so the Cat & Jack hearts zip-up hoodie with matching leggings is perfect for her because it’s still festive and “cool”. For my six-year-old, I grabbed a pair of sparkly black leggings and paired them with a long-sleeved graphic t-shirt.

My kids have a Halloween parade at school, along with a class party and Spirit Week, which includes pajama day and mix-match sock day, so these themed matching pajamas and festive socks are a fun way to send the kiddos in to participate. Plus…they glow in the dark – how fun for the whole family! Be sure to check out the whole Hyde & EEK! Boutique Collection for all of the Halloween apparel and more!

It’s spooky season!! Well, close enough anyway. If you’re ready to celebrate all things Halloween but know that wearing your costume out and about would probably be frowned upon right now, we have a solution for you! Who said Halloween has to be scary?? These cute little character tees will definitely keep the creepy monsters away.

You know you’re the real fourth Sanderson sister (one can wish, right?!) and you’re not afraid to show a little family pride. Wear this tee proudly and don’t be ashamed of your ancestry.

For the badass babes, this sweatshirt gives major skeleton biker vibes. We know you’re not afraid of anything!

A pumpkin, a bat, and a witch walk into a bar…we can only assume chaos ensues. But look how sweet they are!! This tee is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Petition to rename fall to “spooky season” since we know that’s all anyone is really thinking about anyway, right?! These tees celebrate the real meaning of fall.

All the Halloween essentials summed up in one sweatshirt. Yes, please!!

A pocket tee with a spooky twist! Keep your boos close to your heart and take them with you wherever you go.

Rock on! Rock ‘n’ roll is the ultimate costume party, but this tee is pretty fierce too.

Let your sweatshirt do all the talking! Plus, this is a lot nicer than yelling “gimme all your candy!!” – manners matter!

The perfect tee for your next GNO (ghouls’ night out)! We know you’re ready to brew up some mischief and mayhem. We don’t blame you.

Yes, you can most definitely wear this tee on a first date (bonus points if the date is on Halloween, or at a haunted house). And if they don’t agree, they ain’t the one, hon. Trust us.

Oh my gourd!! How cute is this tee? Wear your favorite fall fruits (yes, they are technically fruits!) all season long, because these guys aren’t just for Halloween.
