There are many benefits to filling your home with live plants. They help boost your mood, they purify the air, and they can also reduce stress. Taking care of plants can be a full-time job though, and it may be intimidating if you’ve never had a plant baby before. If you start with an easy-to-care-for indoor plant, you’ll soon see how wonderful it can be to have your home filled with lively greenery! Snake Plant
Snake plants are among the easiest plants to care for, and they’re great for propagation! They don’t need a lot of water and they do well in most lighting situations, but preferably steady, indirect light. Water your snake plant when you feel the top 1-2 inches of soil getting dry. A little bit goes a long way, and it’s always easier to add more water than it is to drain the soil.
Pothos Plant
Another plant that’s super easy to take care of and to propagate is the pothos plant. These guys like bright, indirect light and can thrive in a wide range of soil conditions, but prefer the soil to completely dry out between waterings (making it great for those that find a watering schedule tough to stick to).
Monstera Plant
Monstera plants are just slightly more tricky than say, a snake plant or a pothos plant, but once you figure out your monstera plant, the work will be worth it! These gorgeous tropical-looking plants make beautiful additions to the home and are great for photo ops. Keep them in bright, indirect sunlight and keep the soil damp but not overly soaked. When you feel the top couple of inches of soil getting dry, give your monstera a little watering and let it absorb completely.
Majesty Palm Plant
Majesty palm plants are a larger houseplant (more like a tree) and can get up to 10 feet tall (!!) but grow slowly indoors so you don’t have to worry about your palm plant taking over your living room. Keep your majesty palm in a bright corner and give it lots of water. The soil should remain moist but not soaked.
Aloe Plant
Aloe plants are pretty low maintenance…keep them in a bright, sunny spot and water them deeply but sparingly. They don’t require much water and you should wait for the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Bonus – you can use the gel inside of a mature leaf to heal cuts and burns (just don’t ingest it!!).
Succulent
Succulents are plants that thrive in warm, dry climates and they love lots of sunshine! Put them in an area with direct sunlight and seldom water them. Succulents can go weeks without being watered!! An ideal watering scheduling for a succulent is about once every two weeks.
Cactus
A cactus is another type of desert plant that is very low maintenance. Just like succulents, they do extremely well in direct sunlight and with little water. Give your cactus a little water every couple of weeks, waiting until the soil has completely dried out.

I usually give my plants a smaller amount of water twice a week rather than a lot of water once a week (with the exception of the succulents). Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Lollipops
How cute are these chocolate-covered strawberry lollipops?! This snack is a little healthy, a little indulgent, and a whole lotta delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
- Container of fresh strawberries
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup of vinegar
- 1 bag Hershey’s milk chocolate chips
- 1 bag Valentine’s sprinkle mix
- Reusable cake pop sticks
DIRECTIONS:
- Wash strawberries and let soak in 3 cups water and 1 cup of vinegar for 15 minutes (this will also help them last longer in the fridge)
- Cut tops off strawberries and then cut in half
- Cut a small “v” at the tops of the strawberries to make into a heart shape
- Put sticks into bottom of strawberries
- Melt chocolate chips in 20 second increments (you can put a small amount of milk – about 1.5 Tbs – with chocolate chips to prevent burning) and stir until melted
- Dip strawberries in chocolate first and then into sprinkle mix
- Place on cookie sheet with wax paper and put in fridge for about 20-30 minutes to allow chocolate to harden
- Enjoy!!

- Square pretzels

- Preheat oven to 350°
- Place pretzels on a parchment-lined cookie sheet
- Put Hershey’s Hugs & Kisses on top of pretzels
- Bake for 1 to 2 minutes (until chocolate is soft enough to press M&M’s into)
- Press M&M’s into chocolates – (if chocolate is too soft, let harden a bit before continuing)
- Allow chocolate to harden completely and enjoy!

This crunchy delight is perfect for sharing with your sweetheart! Make your mix, put on your favorite romantic movie, and enjoy.
INGREDIENTS:
- 5oz white chocolate chips
- 5oz Red Candy Melts
- 1tsp shortening
- 5 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup strawberry cake mix
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 bag Valentine’s M&M’s
DIRECTIONS:
- Divide Chex cereal into two bowls (2 1/2 cups each)
- In microwave – melt chocolate chips with 1/2 tsp of shortening (to help evenly spread) in 30 sec increments (careful not to burn chocolate)
- Melt the red candy next with other 1/2tsp of shortening
- Pour over each bowl of Chex cereal
- Use a large zip lock bag or Tupperware container with lid to mix 1/2 cup of strawberry cake mix and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (for each bowl) together – add Chex cereal – close lid and shake until completely covered
- Repeat previous step for the second bowl of Chex mix
- In a large bowl mix together both bowls of Chex cereal and add 1/2 bag of M&M’s – stir together and then enjoy!

Pizza Bites
INGREDIENTS:
- Pillsbury biscuits
- Pizza sauce
- Favorite pizza toppings (veggies, meat, cheese)
- Seasonings of choice (oregano, garlic powder, crushed red pepper)
DIRECTIONS:
- Set air fryer oven to 400°
- Lay out halved biscuits and top with sauce and pizza toppings
- Place tray in oven and cook for 8 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown
- Remove from oven and let cool. Add seasonings and enjoy!
Taco Wontons
INGREDIENTS:
- Wraps of choice
- Lean ground chicken
- One packet Mrs. Dash no salt taco seasoning
- Shredded cheese of choice
- Taco toppings of choice (olives, shredded lettuce, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, etc.)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Trim wraps into squares and place in muffin tray
- Cook lean ground chicken until done
- Mix in half a packet of Mrs. Dash No Salt Taco Seasoning and add a little water
- Mix in a handful of reduced fat shredded cheese
- Add chicken mixture to muffin cups
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Garnish with favorite taco toppings!
Buffalo Wings
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ cup water
- 2 pounds frozen chicken wings (drums and flats separated)
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons Buffalo sauce
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
DIRECTIONS:
- Pour water into pot of Ninja Foodi pressure cooker (can also bake wings). Place wings into the Cook & Crisp™ Basket and place basket in pot. Assemble the pressure lid, making sure the pressure release valve is in the SEAL position.
- 2 Select PRESSURE and set HIGH. Set time to 5 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.
- When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure by turning the pressure release valve to the VENT position. Carefully remove lid when unit has finished releasing pressure.
- Pat wings dry with paper towels and toss with 2 tablespoons oil in the basket.
- Close crisping lid. Select AIR CRISP, set temperature to 390°F, and set time to 15 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.
- After 7 minutes, open lid, then lift basket and shake wings or toss them with silicone-tipped tongs. Lower basket back into pot and close lid to resume cooking.
- While the wings are cooking, stir together Buffalo sauce and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- When cooking is complete, transfer wings to the bowl with Buffalo sauce and toss to coat.
Broccoli Tots
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 broccoli head (florets only)
- 1 cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup reduced fat shredded cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix all ingredients in food processor until well-combined
- Form mixture into small tots and place in air fryer (be sure to spray the bottom first with non-stick cooking spray) on 350° and cook for 10 minutes
- Serve with your choice of sauce (honey mustard, ketchup, ranch dressing, etc.)
