It’s Christmas Eve, and we’re celebrating the final day before Christmas with something special! As we wait for Santa to drop down the chimney and leave lots of gifts under the tree, the elves are up to a little magic of their own. This fun annual holiday tradition is one that Kristy and her family love and cherish. Read all about the Christmas Eve elf boxes below.
One of my favorite traditions is our “Elf Parting Box” that we do every year. On Christmas Eve, the elves leave a special box for my kids, filled with items that represent their favorite character of the year. Some of the goodies inside include holiday pajamas, a book, an ornament for the tree, a plush toy, and hot cocoa with candy. I love how their tree has become a collection of meaningful ornaments, each marking a different phase in their lives, and it’s always so nice to look back on those memories. Even after they stop believing in the elves, I’ll keep this tradition alive. After all, who doesn’t love a new pair of pajamas and some chocolate on Christmas? What are some of your favorite traditions?
These gingerbread man boxes are just adorable! They’re a festive way to store all the little goodies you’ve got. This year’s themes are Hello Kitty and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Cozy pajamas are a must! This Hello Kitty set is purrrr-fect for Christmas morning, and these Sonic the Hedgehog pajamas are delightful treat.
A holiday-themed book is always a good idea! Meet the Scout Elves and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever were this year’s choices.
Cute companions! These sweet plushes (Sonic and Hello Kitty, accordingly) will be their new besties, always ready for a little snuggle.
And, of course, new ornaments for the tree! Grab your themed Hello Kitty and Sonic ornaments and add them to the collection for the kids’ tree (if you have a dedicated one).

Love is in the air…capture the feeling and bring it into your home with pale pinks, bold reds, and bright whites that will give you major heart eyes and make your space feel extra special this Valentine’s Day. Check out Kristy’s Valentine’s Day home decor below for a little bit of love inspiration.
Wooden Words | Heart Ornaments | Pink Glitter Stems | White Glitter Stems | Pillow
This artificial tree was Kristy’s kids’ Christmas tree and instead of taking it down, she decided to keep it up and decorate it for each holiday throughout the year! The pink wooden words are from the BluGrainCreations shop on Etsy and now through February 28th, you can use code KRISTY10 for 10% off anything in the shop! The heart ornaments and pink and white glitter stems add a little sparkle to the tree, and the textured hearts throw pillow complements the rest of the neutral decor in her living room perfectly.
Calendar | Lantern Candle | Pillow | Ladder (Decocrated)
An entryway table tastefully decorated with clean, modern pieces makes a lovely focal point in the home. Mixing classic, year-round decor (like this wooden ladder from Decocrated or flip calendar) with holiday decor (like this “love” pillow and sparkly pillar candle) keeps the vibe classy yet adds a touch of fun and makes it easy to change with the seasons.
Wooden Tray | Beaded Garland | Plant | Candle
Fill a wooden tray with a faux plant, favorite candle, and beaded garland for a centerpiece that looks great on any table or shelf.
Top these adorable stacked wooden books with an artificial plant and place them on a shelf or end table for a sweet message to your loved ones.
For those of you with kiddos (or fur babies), this cute wooden sign will show just how much you love your little Valentines!!
Keeping your home smelling fresh and clean is easy with this room spray from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia. Spritz a little in the air to instantly refresh your space with a crisp, woodsy scent. Plus, the bottle looks great on display!
