If you want to make a whole week of it, doing a color a day for your teacher with each color having some kind of “theme” is a fun idea. Kristy did this for her daughter’s teacher! For red, the first day, it’s all about the teacher….the things she likes and things to spoil her with for the days she’s not teaching. Items include a Bogg bag, apple candle, Sol de Janeiro kit, and a self-care book.

Tag: “ Roses are RED & Apples are too! You’re the best teacher ever, we’re so thankful for you.”

Orange, day two, is focused on recognizing the growth she’s given the students. She also loves to garden, so this is perfect! Orange items include drinking glasses, a succulent, a personalized planter, a mister, and a seed kit.

Tags: “ ORANGE you just such a SUN-sational teacher!“ and “Thank you for helping us grow!“

Day three is yellow, a bright and shining color, so these items show her that she’s the star to the kids. Yellow gifts include a tote, lip balm, hand sanitizer, paper weights, a t-shirt, an essential oil pen, a pillow for the reading corner, and a coffee mug, of course!

Tags: “Thank you for being the STAR that taught them to SHINE“ and “The influence of a good teacher can never be erased.”

Green, day four, is a day for the classroom! These gifts are things she can use in and around like classroom, like a utility cart, Sharpies, a label maker, a pencil sharpener, a journal, essential oils, and modular seats for the kids.

Tags: “Thank you for your Commit•Mint Involve•mint Encourage•mint Invest•mint” and “Green with envy are those who wish they had you for a teacher!“

Blue, the final day, is for all things lunch!! Items include a lunch carrier, a mini to-go Crockpot, a Bentgo container, a snacks bag, a sand art light that’s great for lunchtime relaxation or meditation, and a Stanley tumbler.

Tags: “Just something out of the blue to say we appreciate you!“ and “We appreciate you a whole bunch, so please enjoy some lunch!“

And if you’d rather do one gift on Teacher Appreciation Day (May 7th), a gift bag stuffed with self-care goodies is always a hit! Grab a tote and fill it with Sharpies, this cute acrylic desk sign, a canvas pouch with keychains, body scrub, body wash, lip balm, a lip mask, face masks, and a facial scrub!

Summer will be here before we know it and we’re already dreaming of all the ways we can update our wardrobes with the best styles of the season. From social festivities to days at the desk, and vacations by the water to early morning runs, Walmart has everything you need to make this a summer of fashion-forward moments. See our Walmart summer fashion inspiration below.

Summer = party time! Grad parties, pool parties, backyard BBQs, and holiday soirées…summer is the season of celebrations. Make sure you’re party ready with one of these gorgeous getups.

Maybe you’re all work and no play. Which is okay, but don’t ignore the benefits of a healthy work-life balance! These dresses will have you looking chic in the office, and they can definitely be worn to date night after, too!

Pool days, beach trips, and lake vacations. Whatever your preferred form of water-centric recreation, get yourself a swimsuit to rock that will steal the show.

Don’t forget your coverup! These will come in handy when you’re trying to enjoy your liquid lunch at one of those “no shirt, no shoes, no service” places.

And if you’re team #summerbod, grab a few workout pieces that will make you excited to get your sweat on.

Many students are eagerly awaiting their teacher assignments for the upcoming school year. In my home, I don’t know who is anticipating the news more – myself or the kiddos! We already know who my youngest has and we love her, and my oldest is hoping for a particular teacher this year, and my middle daughter…well…I just don’t think that she cares very much yet! As parents are getting ready for BTS – shopping for clothes, shoes and supplies – don’t forget the teachers and school professionals! I love my kids’ school and the staff there, and since I’m a PTO board member I am very involved and get to interact with them a lot. I see a lot of what other parents don’t and these worker bees deserve it all! I am not swimming in the dough like Scrooge McDuck, but I give back to the teachers when I can. One way to show appreciation is with a back-to-school gift, and Kristy, who is also super involved at her kids’ schools, did some shopping at a few different retailers and came up with adorable and affordable teacher survival kits! See the gifts she put together below.

Temu! I’m sure you’ve heard about it and probably are hesitant like I was, but I’m telling you, it’s awesome! Just look at how adorable those canvas totes are as well as that pillowcase over the insert. These are perfect for a pre-k or kindergarten classroom.

Wood number pins can be found both at Target (usually comes out in July and can be found in their dollar bins) or on Amazon. These can be used in the classroom as decorations or a creative way to help learn math.

Both the pencil ID lanyard and mini hand sanitizers can be found at Bath & Body Works during one of their crazy sales, and they give the gift such a nice touch! Other fun lanyards can be found on Temu as well, so be sure to check them all out! Such a great add to the bags.

Who doesn’t love a good lip balm?! EOS has the best ones, keeping lips smooth and hydrated with amazing smelling, lip-smacking flavors. These are perfect little addition to a survival kit if you ask me.

I love a good planner and these planner stickers keep it fun and colorful, which can help keep you on track, especially when you’re a teacher on-the-go with a lot on your plate both in and out of the classroom.

If you’re in the Frugal and Thriving FB group, you already know about the ever-popular chenille letter bags, and of course these ones say “teach” so they’re perfect! These “Survival Kits” are so clever and definitely have the teachers in mind! Each TEACH bag is filled with:

As you can see, all of the thoughtful items included set the teacher up for a successful and fun school year, and it gives them a sense of comfort and appreciation while in the classroom!

Each of the canvas totes include the filled TEACH bags with these items as well:

All of these items were from the following retailers: Amazon, Bath & Body Works, Walmart, Target and Temu! If you haven’t checked out Temu yet, I highly recommend it! They are running a massive site-wide sale and it’s definitely a one-stop shopping option. PLUS, they also offer free shipping and free 90-days returns! Some schools may have already returned, but most schools have a September start date, and we love to support our teachers! Classroom budgets get tighter each year, and most educators spend far too much from their own pockets to get their classrooms together to help our kids learn each year. We started a ‘Teacher Wish List‘ on our group page for teachers to be able to post their wish lists for their classrooms in hopes that parents, grandparents or anyone really would ‘adopt’ a teacher by purchasing items off of their lists! Here are the most popular items that teachers are looking for this school year!

Gift Cards

Amazon gift cards in any denomination were on many lists, an easy way to participate without feeling overwhelmed from all of the choices, and the teacher can pick out their most wanted or needed items!

Our school professionals work so hard all year long, and now that summer break is approaching, it’s time for them to take a much-deserved break! Help them out by giving them a sun-sensational gift they can use and enjoy all summer long! These end-of-year gifts can be customized to include whatever seasonal goodies you want…see our end-of-year gift ideas below!

Whether you want to grab a pretty insulted cooler or a fun drink dispenser to fill with little knick-knacks, or even a fishbowl filled with Jell-O shots or airplane shooters (Kristy’s son’s preschool teachers had 34 students in her class and 28 of them were boys – so yes, this was a much-appreciated gift), these summer-themed gifts will keep your teachers relaxed and loving life until the next school year starts.

Fill your insulated coolers with the essentials like drink mixers (we love pineapple juice or tropical juice for summer) and a Brumate shaker for easy mixing and drinking, cute beach towel chair clips, and travel-sized skincare and beauty products like hair ties and nail polish

Stock up your drink dispensers with mini sun safety products, dry shampoo, refreshing facial mist, a cute coffee mug or stemless wineglass, and other summertime favorites!

These are some great go-to basket fillers – little snacks, hydration packs, and gum are also great ideas!

These clear bags are perfect for storing all of those little goodies! Add this adorable gift tag and the teachers are sure to appreciate your thoughtful gift!
