Choosing a vegan lifestyle isn’t just about the food that you consume, it’s about so much more, like the clothing you wear, the cleaning products you keep in your home and the everyday beauty products you use. Maybe you’re like me and aren’t vegan but are conscious about trying to be a mindful consumer – looking more into “eco-friendly” options that have sustainability, are cruelty-free and have fair-trade practices. Trying to sort through all of it and finding beauty products that not only are vegan and cruelty-free but actually work can be time consuming. Here’s what I got to help you out with that!
Summer is right around the corner, but if you’re looking to get that sun-kissed look now or on the off-season, check out this self-tanner which comes with a glove and rubs in nice without the streaky look. You glow girl mist by b.tan gives just enough color; recommended use after cleaning your face and neck.
Forget about whitening strips for those chompers, check out pearly girl vegan teeth whitening pen by Tarte. Compared to other whitening kits, it’s so easy, quick for on-the-go use and very well priced.
Rosy cheeks for days you say? Well then you have to check out Wet n Wild’s mega-glo blush – it gives off a dewy fresh look as well as being versatile, meaning that you can use it as an eye shadow and on your lippies too!
Bronzed is best! I love a good bronzer and this NARS Laguna brozing powder came highly recommended for it’s compactness…so toss in a bag and head out for the night. Palladio baked bronzer is sheer feeling with just the right pigment. Both bronzers are perfect consistency leaving a natural glow as opposed to the fake orange tan.
Foundation is a hard code to crack when it comes to getting the correct tone, but word on the street is that Wet n Wild foundation is where it’s at. No “cakey” feeling with long-lasting coverage and you can’t beat the price point.
NYX has some great products like their Epic Wear waterproof eyeliner. The small applicator can give more control when applying. Born to Glow highlighting palette that doubles as eye shadow, blush and highlighter has good pigment and a lovely shimmer!
Conceal-er and carry…these concealers are the ones to get! Beauty Blenders Bounce airbrush liquid whip concealer gives good coverage all while not giving a heavy or dry feel. Wet n Wild mega-last Incognito all day full coverage concealer has good color options to choose from and comes at a great price point.
I personally love a good mascara and sometimes that’s all that I’ll wear! Be sure to check out Thrive liquid lash extensions – it gives the appearance of very long lashes, with a lightweight feel, and is very long-wearing. Lights camera action by Tarte is very buildable and has a nice applicator.
Keeping your skin hydrated is important, so this b.fresh from dull to dewy body serum is where it’s at for skin rejuvenation. The scent alone is amazing with a lightweight feel.
CCTM, CC, BB or whatever variation of the cream you use is one of my fav go-to products because if I am in a time crunch, I can throw some on quickly and head out the door. This E.L.F Camo CC cream is a good one and also has SPF if you’re going to be out in the sun – and a quick tip: a little goes a long way with this one!
Last but certainly not least, lets talk hair! Everyone loves when their hair looks and feels good and for that to happen, you want to hydrate and lock moisture in, repair if damaged and of course, protect. These two products will do all of that for you. Bondbar #7 is a concentrate that increases shine, helps with those pesky flyaways and is a heat protectant. Fast Food leave on conditioner, from what I am told, is the best hair moisturizing conditioner that works magic at helping with split-end mending and nourishes lifeless hair, on top of smelling amazing and leaving a nice texture.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve made 2023 the year of self-care for myself, and these products are right up my alley…mama is going shopping! TTFN!
